Ridddl, S.M., this afternoon, charged with stealing £2 10s 4£d, a waiatcoat, and a pendant, of a total value of £5 5s 4jd, the property of James Edward Scott Accused was represented by Mr. Wilford, who elected to have the case tried by a jury. Mr. Riddell srgnified that he was not prepared to proceed with tho hearing, and accused wa« accordingly re. maitded till next Wednesday. Bail was* fixed at £20.
