An application to the Miniiter of Internal Affairs by the Woodville Fire Brigade, to allow Inspector Hugo to give a lecture on fire brigade matters, has been received. Several similar applications have been made by other brigades. The cycling championships of New Zealand, which aro to be held on the Basin Reserve on Saturday next, 2nd April, should provide an interesting gathering, many leading riders taking part, and some fine tinirbes should be witn«*«d. Besides cycle racing there will be mutical chairs and amateur running event*. *l*o a boy&' yttXk.
