The development of the Brazilian Amazon Valley must in time amount to untold wealth. In the states of Para and the Amazonas and the federal territory of Acre there are near the water's edge 10,000,000 rubberbearing trees of the llevea variety. These trees if properly tapped will live indefinitely and steadily increase their yield. The State of Para is considerably larger than Texas, and much of it will grow excellent cotton.
