MINERS' CONFERENCE.

Delegates forming the New Zealand Miners' Federation Conference met in Wellington to-day to discuss various matters regarding mining and miners. Mr. R. Semple, of Greymouth, is president. The proceedings are not open to the press.

Walter Alfred Bovrater and Lydia Bowater were informants in a case, heard at Petono Magistrate's Court today, in whiuh Alfred Milward was charged, on two informations, with assault and one of using obscene language.
