The case of W. D. Lysnar v. Ahemata te iMaire and another, which concerned •the appearance of two solicitors in the •Validation Court at Gisborno in February last, was resumed before their Hon- j ours the Acting-Chief Justice and Justices Denniston and Chapman in the Court of Appeal this morning. Mr. 'Burnard, of Gisborne, appeared for the appellant Lysnar, and Hon. T. W. Hislop ! •for the respondent "Maoris. The case | •was explained in last night's issue. Mr. iHislop, counsel far the respondents, replied to-day, submitting that Lysnar had ■purported to appear for tho natives. He also entered into an account of the complicated transactions in native land*, ■for which costs had been incurred. (Left Sitting.)
