SEARCH CONTINUES. [By TELEGRAPH — SPECIAL TO THE POST.] OTAKI, This Day. A report gained currency late last night that the body of the missing man L'ockrell had been discovered. The pign agreed upon by the tearchei'a — three gun jsliot? — were heard, but as the night was dark, nothing could be clone, and of 72 searchers, 71 returned to camp. Constable Satherley returned about eight o'clock, but \\ilh no news. it is al B o leported that the cattle which Cockrell was mustering have been discovered on a high ridge mile-; away fiom where they were left. Large parties camped out all night. In all, about 150 persons were out. To-day Mine 200 are out in all direction 1 ?. A parly of experienced bushmon is being organised tit Levin. Later. Up till now (1 15) there is no further newfi of Coukrell.
