A MAGISTERIAL APOLOGY. [BT TELEGRAPH — PBESS ASSOCIATION.] DUXEDIN, This Day. Sitting at Waikouaiti, Mr. Hutchison, S.M., unreservedly withdrew the strictures ho had made there concerning Messrs. Moore and Moore, solicitors. He said that Mr. Justice Williams's obiervations were ba*«d on fuller material. His judgment having, a& it now appeared, proceeded on incomplete and imperfect knowledge of the facts, the strictures contained in it must be taken to have been erroneously based. Mr. Hutchison made certain strictures regarding Messrs. Moore and Moore's action in connection with the application of one Poyntz for an old age pension. As a result, the Law Society moved the Supreme Court to exercise disciplinary jurisdiction in regard to Moore and Moore, but the motion was dismissed with costs. His Honour Mr. Justice Williams, in giving judgment, &aid he' hoped it would receive as wide publicity as the original charges.
