HOUSE DESTROYED.
[BY TELEGRAPH — PRESS ASSOCIATION.] | CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. A six-roomed house in St. Asaphstreet, Linwocd, owned by Mr. l\obinson, cordial manuiuctuier, and occupied by Mr. W. H. Duncan, was totally destroyed by fire at 2.30 o'clock thia morning. Mr. Duncan was alone in the house at the time, his wife and family being away. He was aroused by his next-door neighbour, Mrs. Clark, who was awakened by the sound of glass breaking. The house occupied by Mrs. Clark whs also owned by Air. Robinson. It caught fire on the .side and in the roof, and thesu were badly scorched. Mrs. Clark's furniture was all saved by neighbouis. Duncan's furniture was injured lor ±,210 in the Atlas ofh'co. The house was also iiiniued.
