TIRED OF LIFE.
MAN AND WOMAN RESOLVE TO DIE. WOMAN'S COURAGE FAILS. By Telegraph.— Pres.s Association.— Copyright. SYDNEY, 10th July. A tragedy was revealed at Newcastle to-night. The police entered a house at Wickham, a Newcastle suburb, and found the dead body of a man named llealy, while a woman named Slreit was lying beside him. As a constable entered, the woman placed a revolver lo her ear, but it missed fire. She had also taken thloi'odyne, but nob in a dangerous quantity. The police had received a letter intimating that both of thorn intended to die together. Streit slated that the man shot himself last night. She had not tho courage to do the same. Healy v\as a married man, with five children. Streit is also married, and is living apart from her husband, who is believed to be in New Zealand.
