WATERSIDE WORKERS.
AGREEMENT WITH THE OWNERS (By Telegraph.— Press Association.— Copyright.) (Received July 10, 10.55 a.m.) MELBOURNE, This Day. An agreement has been signed between the Waterside Workers' Federation and the Australasian Steamship Owners' Federation, under which wages throughout Australia, particularly on the coast of Queensland, are improved. The workers also secure preference to unionists. The settlement of disputes is left to the Board of Conciliation and the port concerned. The agreement has a currency of two years.
