THAMES DEEP LEVELS.
♦ DEVELOPMENT WORK AND GOVERNMENT SUBSIDY. [BY TELEGRAPH — rRESS ASSOCIATION.] THAMES. This Day. The seneral feeling at the Thames in connection with the Government promise of a, subsidy up to £SGOO for deep love? development work is tliat the Minister and Cabinet liavo dealt fairly, and that the best course to pursue is to take immediate advantage of the offer, and proceed to woric at once. It is believed locally that there is probability of a further grant being made in future, when the work is pushed ahead, and the grant is found to be insufficient. The whole future of the field depends on this work. The opinion is general that there should be no further delay.
