NO WISH FOR WAR.
GERMANY'S REAL DESIRE. TO DICTATE TO EUROPE. IF NECESSARY. TO AMERICA. (By Telegraph.— Press Association.— Copyright.) (Received July 8, 8.25 a.m.) LONDON, 7th July. The Bishop of Salisbury (Right Rev. J. Wordsworth, D.D.), who accompanied the clergy and pastors who recently made a visit to Germany, informed a church meeting in London that he bad not found in that country any real desire for war. His Lordship added that he had, however, found a considerable desire for making provision for war, and for the possession of such naval and military supremacy as might enable Germany to dictate to Europe in a crisis — or, if necessary, to the United States.
