ARNST AND WEBB.

THE SCULLING CHAMPIONSHIP. fa»Y TELEOBAPH — fEBSS ASSOCIATION.] WANGANUI, 18th June. Mr. R. Coombes, editor of tho Sydney Refereo, visited Arnst's camp thid morning, and had a chat with tha champion. From what the visitor saw, ho is satisfied that 4.mst is in just about tho samo form as when ne won the championship. His weight is practically tho same, and ho is souiling quite as well as in December last. Moreover, Arnst himself is well pleased with his prospects, and very confident that ho can defoat Webb, though ho fully anticipates a hard race this time Mi. Coombes says ho was disapi pointed at Wobb's showing in the last raco, in which ho displayed nothing like tho pace he did on tho Parramatta. Webb, in his opinion, is now much improved, and has got back his old form. Ho is inclinod to think Arnst will win after a most exciting ttrugglo between the two best scullers sceu for many years.
