The Ottawa correspondent of The Times telegraphs that the proceedings at the Imperial Press Conference have converted a section of the Canadian press, which was recently disposed to make light of the prospects of war. The speeches of Lord Rosebery, Sir Edward Grey, and others have created a profound impression. All the newspapers unite in stating that Canada must realise her responsibilities in the matter of defence.
