V.M.C.A. LITERARY AND DEBATING SOCIETY.
"That the present legislation regarding tho liquor traffic is unsatisfaptory" was the subject of a debate last night by the V.M.C.A. Literary and Debating Society. There was a fair gathering of members and visitors. Mr. 11. N. Holmes led in the affirmative, and Mr. G. Clarke championed the present Act. A eubstantial majority agreed "with the existing legislation. A lecture on "Charles Lamb" is to be delivered next weok by Mr. W. Gray, of the Training College.
