THE HATAITAI BUILDING DISPUTE.

The hearing of the evidence in the civil case of Dutton v. Brcen was resumed to-day before Mr. Justice Sim. The caee involves a claim of £351 6s_ 5d — amount alleged to be due to plaintiff as balanco on a contract to build a house for tho defendants at Hataitai, since burned down — brought by Harold J. E. Dutton against Annie Breen and Edward Peter Breen. Mr. Dunn represented plaintiffs, and Mr. Blair defendants.
