CHARGE OF BIGAMY.
[BY TELEGRAPH. — PKESS ASSOCIATION.] NAPIER, This Day. James A. Crooks, was remanded on a charge of bigamy to appear at Dannevirke c-i the 19th. It is alleged that accused was first married at Norsewood, where he deserted his wife some eight or nine years ago. Enquiries were continually instituted for him, and he was at length located at Waimangaroa, near Granity, on the West Coast, where he was found living with a second wife, whom it is alleged he married some four or five years ago.
