The Disciplinary Council of Paris has dismissed eight postal officials. Strenuous precautions are being taken to prevent disorganisation in the event of a renewed strike. Many soldiers and cyclists are in readiness to sort and deliver letters, and 10,000 trained pigeons are held in Paris and 100,000 in the provinces. The Railwaymen's Union has voted in favour of a general strike unless Parliament passes an Old-age Pensions Bill, and is also, supporting the Post Office employees. Meanwhile the 'Government, as a precautionary measure, will dissolve the Postal Servants' Union as an illegal combination.
