LONDON MARKET FIRM. By Telegraph.— freos Association.— Copyiight. LONDON, 7th May. The wheat markets are very firm, and cargoes are strongly held. One cargo sold yesterday at 43?. 10^d per quarter, and two others at 43s 9d on passage. Parcels coming by steamer are quoted at 43s 6d to 44s 10id, according to position. South Australian parcels just arrived are quoted at 44s to 44s 6d c.i.f. Other Australian on the spot is very r^arce, at 46s 6d to 47§. Flour. — There is a good demand in London, at 33s 6d per sack. The Glasgow price is 345. Holders are asking for a shilling advance for March-April shipments. PRICES ADVANCING. Later. The price of wheat ie advancing. Sales have taken place at 5s 4£d per bushel, but sellers now want 5s sd.
