tm - Mr. Robert Parker has gone to Rotorua for a two weeks' holiday. The Hon. J. Carroll returned to Wei- j lington from Hawkes Bay last night. I Mr. H. J. Okey, M.P. for Taranaki, is suffering from an attack of rheumatic fever. Sir Joseph Ward left last night for Kaikoura, where he will open a new wharf: He will return to Wellington to-morrow. au\ Clarence Stevens, of Te Kuiti, who has been attending the Masonic convocatibn at New Plymouth, arrived in Wellington last night accompanied by Mrs. 'Stevens. Mr. A. Tudhope, LL.B., son of Mr. Thos. Tudhope, of Oamaru, was this morning, on the motion of Mr. T. Neave, admitted by Mr. Justice Chapman as a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court. jur. H. Aaron, who has had charge of the musical arrangements of tho Dr. Barnardo's Homes party, has had a long connection with the work. He became associated with the ' organisation over twenty years ago, and has travelled with boys from the homes during that period, visiting nearly every town of importance in the United Kingdom.
