Advice has been received in Wellington that the Norwegian steamer Elsa sailed from Nannimo, British Columbia, on the 24th February for Dunedin. The Northern Steam Ship Company's s.s. Aupori has been ashore for a week near Opotiki. Slight damage has been done in the vicinity of the engineroom. The Union Company's collier Kini has joined the number of vessels out of commission. Yesterday the crew was paid off, and the vessel will lay up indefinitely at Wellington It is reported that this is due to the diminished output of coal from the Millerton mine consequent upon the recent fire.
