BOARDING HOUSE GUTTED BY FIRE. [BT TELEGEAPH— PBSaS A3SOOIA.TION.] NEW PLYMOUTH, This Day. Shortly after midnight a fire was dis covered in the Jubilee boardinghouse. The flames had a strong hold when discovered, and one or two of the boarders were rescued with difficulty. The upper story was gutted, and most of the boarders lost their effects. The building was insured in the North Queensland office for £1000, and the effects for £250 in the Alliance office. The damage to the building is estimated at £450, and to the effects at £500. The building is owned by Burgess, Fraser and Co., and occupied by Mrs. Foley.
