MINISTER OF RAILWAYS.
The Minister of Railways (the Hon. J. A. Millar) will commence his tour of inspection to-morrow morning, when he will leave for Auckland via, New Plymouth. At Palmerston North, Mr. I). Buick, M.P., will introduce a local deputation to the Minibter, and at Feildmg Mr. Millar will inspect the proposed site for the Technical School. The Minister expects to arrive at Auckland on Thursday morning, when he will receive a deputation on the question of the proposed discontinuance of the 5.20 train to Drury. Next week Mr. Millar will travel over the North Auckland lines, and then return to Thames, later on visit Rotorua, and come back to Wellington via the Main Trunk. A few days later he will commence his inspection of the Southern lines.
