A CONSTITUTIONAL QUESTION. LORD CHELMSFORD'S CONDUCT APPROVED. By Telegraph.— Press Association.— Copyright. BRISBANE, 15th December. In answer to questions put in the Assembly as to whether the Governor, Lora Chelmsford, had received a reply from Lord Crewe, Secretary of State \ for the Colonies, to the resolution passed last session dealing with the Governor's action in granting a dissolution, Mr. Kidston, the Premier, said that, the House had made no representations to the Home authorities on the subject. The Governor, however, had forwarded tho resolution to Lord Crewe, and had received a confidentia] reply. The fact, said Mr. Kidston, that the Governor had not been recalled indicated that the Home authorities bad approved his conduct.
