Slowly falling barometer northward of Lyttelton and Hokitika, but from thence southward and also northward of Auckland it has risen slowly. Strong northerly winds, changing to the west and south-west, have been experienced northward of East Cape, Taupo, and Kawhta, and south-west gales are reported from Russall, Hokianga, Kaipara, and Raglan. Moderate to strong southerly winds have been prevalent elsewhere, but tra'.es from that direction are reported from Capes Egmont, Foulwind, and Campbell.
