WELLINGTON MUSICAL UNION.
Lovers of good music are reminded that the Wellington Musical Union promises a record performance of " Israel in Egypt" on Friday night at the Town Hall. There will be 250 performers. Mr. Lawrence F. Watkins, Mus. Bac, will preside at the organ, and Mr. Robert Parker will conduct. The choral pei-formance of "Israel in Egypt" will be preceded by a suite for strings by Hubert Parry, which will be played by the orchestra, viz. : A, Prelude ; J3, Slow Minuet; C, Gigue. The soloists engaged are — Miss Phoebe Parsons, A.R.C.M. ; Mrs. Daisy Basham (Auckland), Mr. E. J. Hill and Messrs. F. | V Waters and F. Lay cock. The box , plan is open at the Dresden. The final ! rehearsal takes place to-morrow night at 7.3G o'clock in the Town Hall.
