Thursday last had penetrated from eleven to twelve feet of quartz before the influx of water necessitated a temporary stoppage of operations, and a full face of quartz was then showing with no indications of the wall coming to hand. The ore continues of promising appearance, and in all probability the men would be able to resume driving on the lode to-day. The pumps are at present lifting about 2000 gallons of water per minute.
