"Look to your herds," was the advice given by the Minister for Agriculture to dairy farmers at Trentham last night. How many farmers could tell ' exactly tho weight of milk given by each cow in their herds during the year, he asked ? Yet it was most important to eliminate the cows that did not come up to the standard. According to Mr. Cuddies report, there were no fewer than fortytwo herds in a single district in Denmark in which no cows gave less than 10,0001b of milk a year.
