MIRAMAR BOROUGH COUNCIL
A meeting of tho Miramar B»r«ugh Council was held last nipht, and was attended by the Mayor (Mr. O. J Ora-vr-ford), Councillors Witt, M'Leod, and Cooper. A letter was read from Mr. C. B. Lindsay, asking for permission to fencs off s portion of Forres-street, Seatoun, jnst above the quarry, in order- th*t ho miphi plant it. The council granted the application on condition that the ongineer an. proved of tho style of tho fence The Mayor reported that Messrs. Evans ami bon had promised to give tho council £10 worth of trees for planting next season. T . he o O ? n ? inee . 1 ' r °! )or ted that il would cost £95 to pipe and manhole the drain across sections 85 and 86, East Burnham, and £3 to fonce it. Tho council declined to adopt a suggestion that the drain should be closed in.
