QUEENSLAND'S PREMIER.
HIS WORK IN ENGLAND. ■ B/ Tefcrraph.— Preas Aesooiation.— Copyright, (Received August 19, 8.40 a.m.) LONDON, 18th August. The Premier of Queensland, Mr.- Kidston, who is on a visit to England, has secured a thirty-five years' lease of the "Marble Halls" for Queensland offices, on the most reasonable terms. He is still negotiating for a Torres Straits mail service. The first tender was too high. Tho building acquired for the Queensland offices is the Adelphi Restaurant. It is known among theatrical folk by the name of "The Marble Halls," because of its elaborate decorations. The building will require little alteration to make it suitable for its new purpose.
