Mr. Deakin, Federal Prime Minister, has decided to retain office till the tariff is finished or perhaps till the conclusion of the session. MR. DEAKIN YIELDED TO PRESSURE. THE POST OFFICE COMMISSION. When the Federal House meets on Wednesday a postponement of the motion for a Royal Commission on the Post Office will be asked for until the tariff is passed. If that is not granted, Mr. Dealcin will resign. Tho Ministerial crisis arose out of a motion by Mr. Webster for the appointment of a Royal Commission to supersodo a Cabinet committee about to- com- j menco an enquiry into Post Office disorganisation. An adjournment of the debate was' moved, and the Ministerialists wero - defended by 31 votes to 28. Mr. Deakin thereupon intimated that he accepted tho vote as one of censure on the Government.
