The Wellington Licensing Committee ' sat this morning, the bench being occuSied by 'Dr. M'Arthur, S.M., Messrs. ohn Smith. R. A. Wright, H. A. Rand, and G. Petnerick. A temporary transfer of the Panama Hotel from I). Maher to J. C. Mason '.was granted. The committee expressed ' to Mr. T. Dwan, their satisfaction that their requirements in regard to the Post Office Hotel had been met, and the fcotel was now thoroughly up to date.

The defendants were charged with having failed to supply to (he Registrar of Companies a list of per■ona who were members of the company, tho number of shares held by each shareholder, and so on. Fines were imposed in nine cases, one case was adjourned, and another was not served. At 2 o'clock fo-morrow Messrs. W. H.
