PROPOSED PETONE LOANS.
Petone ratepayers a-re to meet in St. Augustine's Hall at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, 10th March, &t the invitation of the .Mayor (Mr. J. W. M'Ewan), to consider '» number of important proposals to raise loans for the purposes set forth in our advertising columns. The Town Clerk ' (Mt. Alex. Webster) also publishes officially in this issue particulars regarding certain of the loan proposals. All the matters under notice have been gone into at some length by the Borough Council and been duly reported in our columns, but ratepayers will have the opportunity of hearing Mayoral explanations, and of .asking questions if desired, at the meeting next week.
