Tho weather favoured cricket yesterday in tho Wednesday championship competitions. The senior matches wore concluded and junior matches commenced. Union defeated Oriental and thus 6tands ton points ahead of tho next best team in tho senior championship, which is now theirs beyond any possibility of displacement, since theru are only two moro matches left. UNION v. ORIENTAL. On last week's play Union had a lead of 34- runs on the first innings. Oriental resumed yesterday and scored 166 for eight wickets in their second venture.
