FEDERAL PREMIER'S INVITATION. By Telecrayh.— Press Association.— Cop> right. LONDON, 25th February. The New York correspondent of the Standard says that America is disinclined to accept Mr. Denirin's invitation to the United States' fleet to visit Australia, fearing to give offence by declining other invitations that may be offered. The fleet will r.ofc go to Japan. A TOKEN OF CLOSE ALLIANCE OF SYMPATHIES. ACCEPTANCE WOULD BE GRATIFYING. (Received February 26, 9.36 a.m.) ' MELBOURNE, This Day. Mr. Deakin's invitation to Admiral Evans's fleet is urged to be a further token of the close alliance of interest and sympathies existing between Amor/ca and Australia, and which might to some degree' operate to make more complete. Acceptance of the invitation would be received with grea>- gratification in the Commonwealth.
