Eden dofcated Parncll by 169 runs on tho firbt innings, scoring a twopoint win. Parnell scored 144 in the first innings, Eden replying with 313 for eight wickets, and declared the innings closed :Relf 85 (not out). Stemr>on 55 (not out), Elliott 42, BrookSmith 59, ancl G. Mills" 30 rcoring well for Eden. North Shore wero beaten by Grafton by 88 runs on the- first innings. Phipson 52, and Hadden 33, batted well for North Shore. Tho scores wero : Grafton 215, North Shoie 127. Ponsonby scored a three-point win over City, winning by six wickets. CHRISTCHURCH, 23rd February. The ninth round' of the first grade cricket matchos was commenced to-day, the results being : — St. Albane, 146, v. SydenhamJ 189 for six wickets (W. Patrick 95 not out). Riccarton, 292 (E. R. Caygill 55, A. Parker 63), v. West Christchurch, 100 for ono wicket (11. B. Lusk 55 not out, D. Recso 31 (not' out). East Chrihtchurch, 94, v. Limvood, 262 for 9 (R. Read 67). DUNEDIN, 23rd February. The cricket matches wero continued yesterday in fine weather. Carisbrook B mado 141 against Catisbrook A (Siedeberg 56). ' • Adams took threo wickets 'for 3. The A team lost fivo wickets for 46. In tho Albion-Opoho match?, the former were disposed of for 123 (Wiiiinnvj 43), whilo Opoho made 124. In the Grcngc \.
