There was not a ripple on tho course. After a congratulatory and hopeful speech by the patron, a three and a-half mile pair oar race (three heats) came off, resulting: — First heat, H. Mortenson ; second heat, G. Jardine ; third heat, A. W. Davis; final, H. Mortenson.
