Sydney Buxtou, by adopting the recommendations of the commission set up under the chairmanship of Mr. Hobhouse, M.P., adds ono million yeaily to the salaries and wages of Post Office officials. Tne newspapers protest against tho employees vigorously agitating for yet better terms.. The Pall Mall Gazette says the State wage-earners are becoming the masters of these who pay. A few days ago it was stated that the adoption of the recommendations meant an audition to tho estimates of £500,000.
