[Br TELEGDArn. — Special to The Post.] WERAIIOA, This Day. The annual show of the Horonhenua A. and P. Society is being held here today in excellent weather. The society i1?i 1 ? only in its infancy (the- first show having" been held last year), but its prosperity is aheady assured. The entries all round represent a big increase on last year's figures ; the number of sheep on exhibition has neaily doubled, and there is tv nice lot of. hacks t>nd cattle on show ; pigs aro not strong, nuim'rioally speaking. Tho weather is gloriously fine, and a large attendanca is looked for in the afternoon. Judging was started early, and should be completed well to time. In the pony class G. Barnard's Jock was placed first and C. Doggett's Bob second. T. H. Pcwl?s's Prince gained first prise in tho weight-cairying class. Other results available at the time of telegraphing are: — Mare suitable for breeding purposes, James Prouse 1 ; Swainson and Bey.in, 2. Plough horse team, James Prouse, 1 ; Swainson and Bcvan, 2. Sheep, five fat wethers, >H. J. Richards, 1 and 2. Three fat wethers, F. M'Rae, 1 H. J. Richards, 2 Three fat maiden ewes, Robert Bevan, 1. Three fat ewes, Robert Bevau, 1. Flock shesp : — Five Romncy ewes, John' Davis, 1. Five Lincoln ewes, F S. M'Rae, 1; Robert Gardner, 2. Five ewe lambs, John Davies, 1 ; F. S. M'Rae, 2. Best pet lamb, Miss Mary Akeson, 1. Fiock rams: — Rcmney, John Kcbbell, 1 ; James ?.I'Leavey, 'c. Three Leicesters, Robert Bevan, 1. Three Bhropsbires, Robeit .Be van, 1. In pigs, E. White scored in every class in which he had entries. The Levin Meat and Cold Storage Company got the prize for the three pigs most suitable lor pork. • N Robert Bevan wen the class for five fat lambs, and F. S. M'Rae in the class for fat wethers.
