STRANDED BULGARIANS. A MATTER FOR ENQUIRY.
1 By Telegraph.— Press Association.— Copyright. SYDNEY, 10th February. The State Premier (Mr. Wads) says that his attention has been drawn to the fact that a number of Bulgarians havo landed here, and are stranded and unable to get employment. It seems that men of European extraction—mostly Bulgarians— are being induced by some person or parsons to emigrate to New Zealand. So iar as can be ascertained, they have Been shipped by German or French lines ; but as they are unable to pass the test the shipping companies have refused to carry them on to the Dominion. They are thus left here, and more are expected within the next few months. Mr. Wade has placed the facts before Mr. Peakin, Federal Premier.
