[Br Telegraph. — Special to The Post.] PALMERSTON N., This Day. At a committee meeting of the A. and P. Association on Saturday, Mr. W F. Arbon, of Pohangina, was elected president for the year unopposed. Messrs. W. T. Wood, J. G. Harkness (Wellington), S. R. Lancaster, and E. Short were elected vice-presidents. The annual report to be presented to the meeting of members comments on the fact that the receipts from members' subscriptions had fallen to £1255, a decrease of £196 on last year. As a lesult only £300 or £400 could be anticipated for ground improvements instead of £600 or £700. The profit for the year was £549. MASTERTON MAKES A RECORD. The increase over last year's entries is 134, which is most remarkable 111 view of existing droughty conditions. Following is a detailed list of entries : — Competitions, 185 ; horses, 268 ; cattle, 233 ; sheep, 624 ; dogs, 68 ; pigs, 52 ; produce, 144 ; horticultural, 245.
