■• ■ .0 STAR BOATING' CLUB'S SWIMMING SPORTS. ' \ Tho annual swimming ispbrts in connection with tho Star Boating Club were held in front of tho boat hoiu.o on Saturday afternoon. Beautiful weather prevailed, and although the water was slightly ruiflcd, owing to a northerly breeze, the races wero swum in good style, ana some close and exciting finishes wero witnessed. A largo number of lady friends were present. Afternoon tea wus> provided under the management of. Mrs. Fulton, astisted by a committee of ladies. B. C. Freyberg succeeded in winning the club championship. Tho races resulted as follovrs: — 50yds 'Maiden.— M. Turner 1, D. G. Hunter 2. 100 yds Club Championship. — B. C. Freyberg 1, G_ B.
