Representatives of 25,C00 Manchester i and " Salt'ord unemployed are marching from London lo Windsor, carrying a led ILig, to presfiit a position to King Edward, asking leave to inspect the Castle lands to see if they are suitable for cultivation. They havo asked to be allowed fifty acres, on which to experiment and try to muke homes, and piomise not to entei- the Castle gates without permission. ONLY FIFTY SET OUT. SOME GET DIS-HEARTENED. EIGHTEEN REACH LONDON. (Received February 8, 9.23 a.m.) LONDON, 7th February, i Tho fifty unemployed who left Manchester on the march to London are gradually dwindling away. Beforo reaching Watford, some became dissatisfied with the arrangements, and Salvationists paid their return fares. Only eighteen reached London. These are now marching to Windsor, after forwarding the petition.
