PRIVATE NURSES' ASSOCIATION
A proposal to establish a private nurses horn© and dub was considered at the annual meeting of tho Wellington Private Nurses' Association on Woduesday. It was recognised that some difficulty would bo experienced in securing su. table premises and that it would therefore bo necessary to build specially for the purpose. This proposal subsequently put in the form of-a motion was carried by a large majority. Plans of the proposed new building wero inspected and approved. Nominations were then received for officers and members of the association committee. The meeting was hfeld at tho residence of Mrs. Martindale Kendall, president of ' the association, who entertained the members slid their friends at tea. Mrs. llolgate, honorary secretary of the Wellington Private Nurses' Association, in reading her annual report stated that tho association had ?alls upon it for nurses from places so far removed from the capital as JNTow Plymouth and Napier, and that nurses were frequently requested for service at Marlborough and Nelson. The membership of the association numbers 65, eighteen having joined during the year.
