JOHNSONVILLE BOWLING CLUB.
» A meeting , was held at Johnsonvillo for the purpose of forming a bowling club. There were twenty-two present and the conienor3 of the meeting havo fifty names for membership and several promiFes. There- was fcnmo discussion as to whether the bite should ba leaseholdi or freehold. Tho majority of thoso present agreed that tho .freehold was the best plan. It has bcea left with the committee ' to arrange for a site. tt was proposed to raise the cash for tho site and formation of tho green by debentures. At the meeting there wero 61 debentures taken up at £5 aach, a total of £305. Tho cost of the green 'is estimated at about £750, but it was proposed that thsre should bo 200 debentures, issued at £5 rach making a total of £1000. Mr. W. L. Thomson (Kelburne 8.C.), was elected president, and Mr. K. Bould, vicepresident.
