<t> A race, 100 yd, was held by tho Thorndwon Amateur Swimming Club at the Thorndon Baths last evening. The race was for a trophy presented by Dr. Anderson, and resulted as follows : — First beat— G. Bruco, 18soc, 1 ; K. Wiggins, 18sec, 2; R. Gown, 19sec, 3. Won by ! a touch. Time, 80 2-ssec. Second' heat— E. Picot, 14&3 C, 1; R. Ronayne, 4sec, 2; P. M'Leod, 14sec, 3. Won by a yard. Time, 79 l-ssoc. Final— G. Bruce, 18scc, 1; R. Gowan, 19sec, 2; R. Ronayne, 4sec, 3. Won by' a touch aftex a ' good race. Time, 82 3-6 sec.
