Tho Conciliation Board !«at here to-day in <onncction with the dispute between tho butter-workers and employers. Ths employers refused to give evidence on account of Mr. Calling sitting on the board, and aocused 'him of acting in the dual capacity of agitator and judge. The chairman regretted that th;y shottkl take that stand, nnd informed them (hat, according to section 60 of the Act. they could be compelled to appear, and if the meoting was adjourned this would lie done. The employers then withdrew, and the sitting of Ihe Board was adjourned to Wellington at a date- to bo fixed.
