DISASTERS AT SEA. A SHIP FOUNDERS.
THREE MEN DROWNED. THOSE RESCUED SUFFER GREAT PRIVATIONS. By Telegraph.— l're«a Association.— Cop3Tight. (Received February 5, 9.10 a.m.) HONOLULU, 4th February. The ship Eclipse foundered and three of the crew perished. The captain and the rest of the crew arrived at Honolulu after great privations. A steamer "escued thirty-five of the crew. There aro several vessels named Eclipse. The one mentioned in the cable message is probably a steel barque of 3090 tons, built in 1902, and owned by the Anglo-American Oil Company. Her captain's name .fas J. M'Brido. A STEAMER BURNT. LOSS OF LIFE. OTTAWA, 4th February. The steamer Saint Cuthbert was burnt off Cape Sable, Canada. Fifteen of the crew had previously been drowned. The Saint Cuthbert was a steel screw steamer of 4954 tons, commanded by Captain J. Lewis. Sho was built ia 1904, and owned by the British and Foreign Steamship Company, Limited. Cape Sable lies to the extreme south of Nova Scotia, at tho end of tho '"sland from which ; fc takes its name.
