Rose Robinsou, who personated the Countess of Cottenharn, on promising not to repeat the annoyance, was bound over lo come up for^ sentence if called on. When ths case waa being heard, the Countess of CoUenharo (daughter of the Marquis of Aberg^avenny) testified that Robinson, a fashionably-attired woman of thirty, had masqueraded in her name in Melbourne, ( and that 'she had been annoyec? for yearß by Australians calling who claimed acquaintance with her. She believed Robirson was once a Mrs. Cottenham, but had divorced her husband
