SAFE DESCENT. FIFTY MILES AN HOUR. By TelejrrtDh.— Press Assoolttion.— OoDjrleut. (Received February 4, 9.18 a.m.) LONDON, 3rd Fobruary. Mrs. Ashton Harbord, accompanied by Mr. C. Pollock as pilot, made an exciting balloon journey from London. The balloon travelled fifty miles an hour, and descended in the Verdun (France) forest during the night, after many rapid ascents and 'descents. It alighted safely, but the car overturned and ripped the balloon.
